Privacy Policy

The short version: Everything you write in NVR Companion — your mood check-ins, notes, baskets, supporters, plans and well-being entries — stays on your device. We don't run user accounts, we don't have servers that receive your information, and we don't sell or share your data with advertisers.

Who we are

NVR Companion ("the app") is published by Wayne George ("we", "us"). This policy explains what information the app handles and how. It applies to the iPhone and Android versions of NVR Companion. If you have any questions, contact us at support@nvrcompanion.app.

What we collect

We do not collect your personal data. NVR Companion has no sign-up, no login and no user accounts. The content you create in the app is stored only in the app's private storage on your own device. It is not transmitted to us and we have no way to see it.

This on-device content can include:

Mood check-ins and well-being entries
Notes, reflections and your compassionate letter
Baskets and behaviour categorisations
Your supporter network and any contact details you choose to add
Your announcement and other plans you write
App settings and your progress through the lessons

Because this information never leaves your device, it is only as private as the device itself. We recommend protecting your phone with a passcode, PIN or biometric lock.

Internet access

The app uses an internet connection for two purposes only:

Purchases. If you upgrade to NVR Companion Pro, the purchase is handled by the Apple App Store or Google Play (see below). The app needs a connection to start and verify a purchase.
Educational videos. Some learning content is streamed, which requires a connection to load the video.

The app does not include third-party analytics, advertising or tracking software, and it does not build a profile of you.

Purchases

NVR Companion is free to download. An optional Pro upgrade is available as an in-app purchase. All payments are processed by the app store you downloaded the app from — either Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play) — not by us. We never see or store your payment card details. The store tells the app only whether you hold a valid purchase, so it can unlock Pro features.

Children's privacy

NVR Companion is designed for parents and carers, who are adults. It is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect information from children. As the app stores no data off your device, any references you make to your children stay on your device under your control.

Your data and your rights

You are in full control of your information. You can edit or delete the entries you create from within the app at any time. Removing the app from your device deletes the data stored with it. Because we never receive a copy of your content, there is nothing for us to retrieve, export or delete on your behalf.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time — for example, if the app gains new features. When we do, we'll change the "Last updated" date above. Significant changes will be highlighted in the app or on this page.
