If you're writing about a purchase, please include the date of the purchase and the Apple ID country (e.g. United Kingdom) so we can help more quickly.

Frequently asked questions

How do I restore a previous purchase?

Open the app, tap any locked section (such as Growth or Connect) to bring up the Companion Pro screen, then tap Restore purchases. Make sure you're signed into the App Store with the same Apple ID you used when you originally bought Companion Pro.

Where is my data stored? Will it transfer to a new phone?

Everything you enter in NVR Companion — mood check-ins, notes, baskets, supporters, plans — is stored only on your device. We don't run servers and we don't have a copy. That means your data is private, but it also means it doesn't automatically move to a new phone, and we can't restore it if your phone is lost or reset.

Your purchase is tied to your Apple ID, not your device, so installing the app on a new phone and tapping Restore purchases will unlock Companion Pro again.

How do I delete my data?

Removing NVR Companion from your device deletes all of the data stored with it. Because we never receive a copy, there is nothing left for us to delete on our side.

What's the difference between the three support levels?

Nothing, in terms of what you unlock. Companion Pro is the same one-time unlock no matter which option you choose. The three price points let you support the app at a level that reflects your circumstances — pick the one that works for you, and you'll get the same full access either way.

Can my family share Companion Pro through Family Sharing?

Family Sharing is not enabled for Companion Pro at the moment. Each Apple ID that wants access to the Pro sections will need its own purchase.

Is NVR Companion a medical or therapy app?

No. NVR Companion is an educational and self-help companion based on the Non-Violent Resistance approach to parenting. It does not replace advice from a clinician, therapist, or trained NVR practitioner. If you or your child is in crisis or in immediate danger, please use the helpline numbers in the app's Crisis section, or contact your local emergency services.
